You have finally booked your sailing vacation, you are excited about swimming, sunshine galore and dinners at local restaurants, until just before departure the fateful question arises: what to pack?
It is often difficult to have a clear idea of what to expect over the course of the vacation, the temperatures and the pace of the day. So let's try to shed some light by giving you some brief but effective tips.

What suitcase to choose?
Let's start right from the choice of suitcase: on a sailing boat, space to stow luggage is perforce limited, so a rigid and bulky trolley is highly inadvisable. Much better to use a soft duffle bag that can be folded into a small space.

How many clothes to bring?
The classic mistake of first-time sailors is to carry too much stuff with them, which will remain unused and only take up valuable space. On a boat you spend most of your time outdoors, with very few things on you.

Hair dryer: The classic home hair dryer consumes a lot of energy and is often frowned upon by the skipper; better to bring a compact travel one.
