FAQ - BOOKING

How much does it cost to rent a catamaran?

Renting a catamaran varies greatly in cost depending on the booking period and the model of catamaran chosen. Prices for a weekly vacation can range from €4,000 in June for a 40-foot catamaran, up to €15,000 during August and for a 46-foot catamaran. Prices always refer to the charter of the entire catamaran.

Can I only book one cabin?

No, we do not do cabin boarding or individual boarding. Prices are based on chartering the entire catamaran equipped with 4 (or more) double cabins.

Do you also rent catamarans for weekends?

From the beginning of June to the end of September, the minimum rental period is one week, with embarkation at 6 p.m. on Saturdays and disembarkation at 9 a.m. the following Saturday. Weekend rentals are possible the rest of the year, or on a last minute basis if boats have unsold periods.

How is the payment structured?

Upon confirmation of the reservation you will have to sign the contract and make a down payment of 50% of the boat price by a bank transfer. Within 30 days of departure you will have to make the balance of the remaining 50%, while extras can be settled at embarkation, by cash.

What is your Covid policy?

In the event of a travel freeze, a voucher equal to the amount paid (down payment or full price) will be issued, expendable until the end of the year following the original departure date.

What is your cancellation policy?

At the time of booking you must pay 50% of the rental price by bank transfer. If you cancel your reservation within 60 days of departure we will withhold 50% of the deposit, between 60 and 30 days of departure we will withhold the entire deposit, and within 30 days to departure we will withhold the entire rental amount.

If we are able to resell the same week to another client we will refund you the total amount paid, less any larger discounts for reselling the week and broker commissions.

What does it mean to put an option on a boat?

Should you find an attractive offer as a result of the quote, you can request an option from us that grants you priority on the reservation until it expires. The option lasts from 2 to 4 days from the time of written request.

Should a boat in the quote be optioned by another customer, you can put yourself on a waiting list upon request. Should the other customer not confirm the reservation, the option will pass directly to you upon expiration.

Can I set the itinerary in advance?

The outline itinerary is determined with the skipper on departure, in accordance with your preferences and the week's weather and sea conditions. Please note that the itinerary is subject to change as weather conditions change, to ensure you have the best possible vacation.

Is the boating vacation suitable for children?

Boat vacations are ideal for children of all ages, who will be in a protected environment where they can play safely all day long.

FAQ - HOLIDAY

Who is in charge of the galley and kitchen?

The galley and kitchen are the responsibility of the client, who is required to provide food for the crew during the week. Upon request, we can provide you with a cook who will grocery shop according to your preferences, cook, set the table, wash the dishes, and tidy up the common areas. We will advance the money for the galley, which will be settled at the end of the week when the crew presents you with receipts.

What should I bring in my suitcase?

On a boat you spend most of your time in a bathing suit and T-shirt. We recommend some more stylish clothing for when you go out in the evening, a couple of sweaters and a k-way for windy days, as well as the ever-present sunscreen. For more details, I refer you to our article on how to organize your suitcase for a boating vacation

Is it possible to bring animals on board?

We gladly accept small pets, as long as you follow a few basic rules: pets should not get on pillows or beds and should not go inside wet. We will arrange to take you ashore by dinghy where possible when the dog needs to relieve itself. We ask an extra charge of 200€ for the final cleaning.

Do trolleys fit on the boat?

Even if we are talking about very bulky boats, rigid trolleys hardly find room in the lockers. It would be better to carry soft bags that can be easily stowed.

How is the week structured?

Embarkation takes place at 6 p.m. on Saturday. After embarking the luggage and galley the skipper will give a short safety briefing and plans for the week. With the formalities taken care of, one can already depart for the first leg of the week.

We normally spend the day at anchor in one or two bays between swimming, water sports and relaxation. In the evening we have the choice of sleeping at anchor in some secluded cove under the stars or docking in a harbor to dine ashore or simply take a walk before or after dinner. On average you will sail two to three hours a day divided into two trips, the rest of the time we will spend at anchorage or ashore.

You return to the port of departure on Friday around 6 p.m. (the last night in port is included in the price) and disembark on Saturday at 9 a.m. to allow the crew to clean the boat for the next guests.

Will I get seasick?

The catamaran due to its inherent width is much more stable than a regular sailboat, and those who suffer from seasickness usually acclimatize within one to two days. To be on the safe side if you think you are suffering, it is best to carry medication such as travelgum or xamine-based for emergencies. There are so many natural tricks and remedies to relieve seasickness, surely the skipper will be able to help you the best!

Is there power in the boat as there is at home?

In every cabin you will find an outlet that is the same as at home. On board, power is a valuable component that should not be wasted, so be careful to charge only the devices you really need. You can bring a travel hair dryer that does not exceed 1800w of power, and warn the skipper before using it.
