His duties include running the boat, planning the itinerary, and cleaning the deck when the boat stops at the marina. The skipper is not responsible for cooking or tidying up the boat's interior.

In Italy hostesses prepare three meals, while abroad they normally cook breakfast and lunch, but not dinner. In addition, the hostess cleans the common areas (but not the cabins and bathrooms), sets the table, washes the dishes, and will help you with shopping
